The one and only McDonald’s is partnering with our school! That’s right, you heard it, folks: our school cafeteria is going to partner with our local McDonald’s. How will this impact our school? Well, we will be getting a new school menu, and you will get the option to order ahead of time on your Chromebook and get it delivered hot and fresh to your lunch table. But there are still some unanswered questions about how this is going to work, so we will be talking all about what is happening at Wredling!
First, let’s start with the pros of McDonald’s as our school cafeteria meals. One of the most exciting parts is that the food will be made hot and fresh for you. We will also include soda with the meal. There will be an entirely new menu made by McDonalds, we will be getting more lunch options than ever, which will even include desserts. A new thing that we will also be doing is Fries Friday, where we will get free fries every Friday. Because of the new app, which allows you to preorder your food, you will be able to talk with your friends for a longer period of time, because you will not have to wait in a long line anymore.
Now, for the cons, the new app that lets you preorder your food will be expected to have some issues, but they will be worked out over time. The other concern is the nutritional levels, which will be talked about later. Next,

Some of the parents have been concerned about the nutritional levels in the new food menus. Parent Ryan Johsnon expresses his concern at a parent meeting at the school, “ I’m really worried about the health effects
from the poor nutrition from McDonalds food.” Indeed, this is not the healthiest option that the school has
ever had. The district health coordinator discussed with McDonalds a healthier option for the growing children, and so McDonalds has added a salad and a side of fruit or vegetables to your meal.
Now, the real question is, when this is all happening, we are planning to release the new menu next year, so check your e-mail over the summer for more information. Also, be sure to express your feelings about this new change in wredling with the poll at the end of the article.
