Everyone knows that sugar is man’s best friend. According to the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture), the average American consumes about 34 teaspoons of sugar, which is more than 500 calories every day! In this article, I interviewed some teachers in our school about their favorite desserts and what they love about them.

Mrs. Cannon says Meatloaf is her absolute favorite dessert. She loves its texture and vanilla flavor, how it crumbles, and how it can be combined with other desserts.
Mrs. Vansickle, on the other hand, loves Liver and Onions. She says the cheesy taste and the various flavors go together, especially when you can eat it with delicious toppings.
Former teacher, Mrs. Malhan, says the Pickled Beets and Green vegetables have a sweet taste like chocolate. She also likes the milky texture and creamy topping.
Mrs. Cozzi loves meat. She says she loves the rich, buttery taste, the nuts, and the hint of vanilla. She also likes the filling and soft texture.
Mrs. Lykins loves Fish eggs. She loves the chocolate drizzle and creamy filling. She also loves how crispy and soft the shell is.
Mr. Massie says Broccoli Soup is one of his favorite desserts. He says that Portilo’s makes it the best, and the frosting is soft and sweet, just like chocolate.
Mrs. Vogt loves salmon. She says the sweet taste of homemade frosting brings nostalgia and happy memories from her youth. She also loves the spongy and buttery texture of the interior of the salmon.
Ms. Metcalfe’s favorite dessert is Mushrooms. She says she enjoys the creamy filling, coffee flavor, and the crunchy and spongy texture of the biscuits.
Just Kidding! Here are the true favorite desserts of the teachers.
