“There should be a thousand yellow daises, and candles, and a horse, and I don’t know what the horse is doing there unless you’re riding it, which seems a little over-the-top..”

In Max’s (Scott Cohen) proposal to Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Max gives Lorelai “1,000 daises”. But was it really 1,000 daises? Because of how big the set was, the set up crew mentioned that 1,000 still didn’t fit the set. Some predicted that there were over 10,000 daisies, but some think fake flowers and mirrors were used. The stage crew confirmed that there were well over 1,000 daisies used.
“This is a jumbo coffee morning. I need coffee in an IV.”

You may think that Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore) and Lauren Graham always drank the coffee shown in the show, but most of the time they didn’t drink the coffee at all. Alexis Bledel hates coffee, so her cup was always filled with coco-cola. However, Lauren Graham is a different case. Lauren Graham enjoys drinking coffee, but she thought that drinking it so much on the show would decrease her love for it. Instead of coffee, most times Lauren Graham replaced it with water.

“No lo hablo bien y no lo hablo mucho” (“I don’t speak it well, and I don’t speak it much”)
As Rory gets closer with her grandma’s house maid, we are shown Alexis’s Spanish. It is believed that she just had to speak a language she didn’t understand, as many thought English was her first language. In reality, Alexis Bledel’s first language wasn’t English, it was Spanish. Therefore, she had to fake not knowing the language.
“…what better day to make up than Danish Day, the happiest of all days. The day when we all say, ‘Hey. Let’s forgive and forget over a nice Danish and a cup of coffee.”

Danish Recipe:
Ingredients needed:
One 17-ounce package puff pastry (thawed), 8 ounce of cream cheese (softened), 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, ¼ cup of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste, 1 egg yolk (egg white reserved for egg wash), 1 tablespoon of water, and 1 cup of raspberries.
Directions:
- Prepare two cookie sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper
- Roll puff pastry out to a 10-15 inch rectangle, then cut into six 5-5 inch squares. Repeat on the second piece of pastry. Put it in the fridge while you make the filling.
- In a medium bowl, stir the cream cheese, lemon juice, egg yolk, powdered sugar, and vanilla paste. Set this aside for now.
- In a small bowl, make the egg wash by adding the water to the egg white and stirring.
- Grab out the pastry squares and put a mounded tablespoon of cream cheese filling in the center. Use a pastry brush to brush egg wash on the corners. Fold each corner of the pastry to the center and press down gently.
- Top the pastry with another tablespoon full of cream cheese and then add 3-4 raspberries on top.
- Refrigerate pastries while preheating oven to 425*F.
- Once the oven is ready, brush egg wash on the top of each pastry and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown. Once done, let them cool.
- (OPTIONAL) If you want a glaze, in a small bowl mix together ½ cup of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 2 teaspoons of dairy milk. Drizzle this over the pastries when almost cool.
