In Ms. Pray’s classroom, there is always something fun going on. Whether it’s cooking something up in the kitchen or creating something awesome with the sewing machines and fabric. Even though I’m not in these classes myself, I’ve heard so much about them from my friends!
*What’s cook’n?*

In the Culinary Arts class, students are diving into the kitchen and whipping up some tasty dishes like pico de gallo, homemade chips, and southwest quesadillas. And of course, pizza! Making crepes proved to be a real challenge, but that is all part of learning new skills. Ms. Pray always emphasizes the importance of kitchen safety, which is super important when handling all those ingredients and tools.
*Fashion Forward!*

Over in Fashion & Design, it’s all about creativity! Students are busy creating all kinds of cool projects, like cup koozies, pillowcases, and pajama pants. Students have the freedom to choose their own fabrics and designs, making each project truly unique and exciting. It’s so fun to see all the different styles and projects that emerge from her class!
*Skills for life*
Both classes focus on learning essential life skills. In Culinary Arts, students sharpen their knife skills while mastering sanitation and safety, and in Fashion & Design, they practice safe techniques as they bring their creative ideas to life. What stands out most is how supportive Ms. Pray is. She encourages everyone to express their creativity and helps them build confidence in their abilities. It is the perfect blend of teamwork, creativity, and, of course, lots of fun! So, if you’re into cooking or fashion, definitely consider joining one of these amazing classes next year. You won’t regret it!
