Get a ‘wiff’ of this… in a shocking turn of events, Mr. Loversky has decided to remove the Wredling Redhawks football team and replace it with a wiffle ball team. Say goodbye to the roar of the crowd and hello to the whistle of the wind heard clearly through the empty stands. Here’s everything you need to gear up and prepare yourself for this dramatic shift in Wredling sports.
Regarding equipment, the first thing you need is a bat, specifically a yellow Wiffle bat. To go with the bat, you will need a baseball-sized Wiffle ball with eight slots on one side, a unique component of wiffle ball. Like baseball, you also need three bases to play. Since wiffle ball is a simpler/smaller version of baseball, you play on a baseball field, meaning you need a pair of baseball cleats.

After you’ve gathered your equipment, you need to know how to play. Wiffle ball is played similarly to baseball. However, in wiffle ball, you cannot steal bases or bunt. To win a game of wiffle ball, you must score more runs than the opposing team which can be achieved by the batters hitting the ball in home run territory or running all three bases and returning to home base. The teams will alternate between batting and fielding.
If you are interested in joining Wredling’s wiffle ball team, visit the athletics section on Wredling Middle School’s website for further information. The coaches, who will be revealed later, are very excited to make this dream a reality. If you are interested in being shunned by the baseball team and ignored by the cheerleaders, sign up today.
