A new dog is coming to town! But almost nothing is known about it. This mysterious breed was supposed to be a secret until next Valentine’s Day, however, a leak on social media revealed the news. One post gushed, “It’s so adorable, I want 5,000 of them!”
Bred to be the fluffiest dogs ever, these puppies were created through a collaboration of many breeders and breeds in an effort to make these crazy soft puppies. While dog lovers are already obsessed, dog experts are worried about this new dog breed. They fear that once these dogs get older, people will abandon them for newer, cuter puppies. Even worse, other species of dogs may be given up or overlooked for this new breed. Dog Expert Sara Newman warned that these puppies “are way more desirable than older dogs.”
People on Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms are calling this new breed, “Valentine’s dogs” and demand is going crazy. In fact, the company behind them has made a deal with platforms like Instagram and TikTok to remove any posts revealing the name, pictures, or details about the breed.
So what do we know? These dogs are said to be mostly blonde in color and smaller in size. Sources like Petfinder and American Kennel Club say the main dogs that contributed to the adorableness of the puppy are the Golden Retrievers and Labradors. Another expert from the American Kennel Club, Mateo Hart, shared- “These dogs will be a big hit, which may mean other dogs may not be adopted or bought, leaving an excess of dogs.”
