Trouble In The Barn
One early morning on a farm, an Australian shepherd dog named Stormi heard hoofs clicking outside, she barked and yelped trying to get her owner’s attention. Stormi’s owner, a southern farmer on a Texas ranch, emerged from the second floor. He rubbed his eyes while assuring the dog.
“Stormi? Calm down,” he said quickly.
She barked a quick loud yelp. The farmer’s head snapped up as the sharp noise echoed down the hall. Stormi turned to the bright red barn bathed in yellow from the rising sun, a cloud of dust flying up. The farmer shouted as he ran towards the barn, “The horses!!!” The screen door flew shut behind him. Stormi raced after him fur flying in the wind. She sprinted off toward the horses, her blue merle coat fading in the distance.
Stormi circled the horses and corralled them towards the barn. Slowly the horses trotted into the barn. The farmer ran over.
“Good job Stormi!” he said.
He ran over to close the barn door. But then, Stormi wondered… How did the horses get out? Stormi barked at the horse’s fence.
The farmer looked down at Stormi.
“What girl? What’s bothering you?” he asked, confused.
Stormi barked at the camera, pointing her wet nose towards it “Oh!” the farmer chuckled. “You mean the camera for the barn? Yes, I’ll check it.”
He looked back at this phone and then started swiping. Beep his phone went as he entered the app.
“That’s weird, I can’t see them.”
